Sweet moments

This is nothing about sewing
I just want to share some sweet moments of life

Yes, I had a fabulous Valentine's Day
Flowers, nice meals and family time
Nothing more I could ask
Life, sometimes could be this beautiful

And this morning
We finally have a 40+F day
Since... hum... seems like forever
It was probably Nov. last year
So we decided to celebrate it
By driving 20 miles to lake Harriet
And take walk around...
Nothing is sweeter than this

Soooooo looking forward spring break
I soooo need that time to do some projects
In hopefully warmer weather

Farm house play set

You guys know I am new at sewing right
So for newbies, it's all about trying things out
Here is one of the things I've been trying
A mini travel farm house play set

And, it folded like this

Didn't come out too bad
The only thing I need revise is the pocket size
If I had bought the animals earlier...
Yes, I bought those little stuffed animals
Because they are only 49 cents at IKEA
The fabric is the ANNOMOA collection from IKEA
Priced at $7.99 a yard
This cute little house is a piece of scrap
I got a yard of fabric and made
3 9"x9" art work and a pillow
And this ...

Although I am not totally in love with it
I think it will be fun for V to play with in her car seat

Baby shower box

Everyone is celebrating love this month
Even the air taste sweet
So when a neighbor announced that
She's going to be a grandma
I just had to put together
A baby show box for her daughter

What you see in the box is

• A receiving blanket   (Used as the background)
• Two burp cloths, upper left
• One flower clip, upper right
• A scrap book kit

The shadow box I purchased at Michel's
Which I think will be a nice keep sake box
For those tiny shoes, or congratulation cards, or whatever
Receiving blanket & burp cloths are the more the better!
Flower clip is a must for any new born baby girl
And scrap book for all the memories and photos down the road
(Photo album will be cool too, won't?)

Mindless cutting & organizing

It is indeed February
I know a lot of people had done fabulous jobs
Organizing their home & life

But,I,  feel bad about not being very productive lately
So, I decided it's time to go through Victoria's closet
Instead of my sewing piles
The result?
I found myself a bin full of sleepers & onesies
A bin full of memories, possibilities and joyfulness
I decided to cut them down to those 4" squares

Who knows what would they be?

I feel better for not throwing them away
Or pile them up somewhere
I know I will use them now
And, instead of thinking how to alter each one of them
I now just need one project
Right?

Everyone is doing something for the big V day

I don't have any plans yet ... shocker, sign...

I do, however, have some left over napkins

From holidays ... 

So I made a center piece for the V day
